Protection Of Vulnerable Adult Training / Learning Course
PROTECTION OF VULNERABLE ADULT training course is designed to help deal with the sensitive subject of abuse within the care sector. This training course package is aimed at all staff members, but this can also be very useful even for people who have worked in the care sector for a long time. The aim of this training course is to raise awareness of abuse and deals with recognizing different forms and some of the signs and symptoms to look out for.
As a care worker or volunteer in the Health care sector, your first responsibility is to promote the safety and well-being of the individuals you support, protecting them from danger, harm and abuse at all times.
In part this is achieved when you come across a situation that causes you concern and you report this to an appropriate person.
Designed to give you the confidence that sharing a concern is the right thing to do, this training course will help you answer such questions as:
- Why do I have to raise my concern?
- How do I raise a concern?
- Who should I tell?
- What should I do if my concern is not dealt with appropriately?
- Understand what is meant by the term ‘vulnerable adult’.
- Know the forms abuse may take.
- Recognise signs and symptoms.
- Know what to do and what not to do.
